Environmental Projects:

 

For our client's privacy, Genesis has a policy prohibiting the publication of information regarding environmental projects. Genesis has successfully completed large, complex, high profile environmental projects for companies that are in the top few percent of their industries. We are well versed in understanding the importance of discretion along with understanding the complexities and hazards of a multitude of environmental issues.

FEATURED HOSPITALITY PROJECTS:

 



Gulfview (Clearwater, Florida)

We demolished all building materials excluding the original shell on this seven story hotel within twelve days. Exterior build back included steel framing, EFIS, windows, sliding doors, balcony railings, parapet walls, roofing, etc. Interior finish out included metal stud framing, drywall, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety/fire alarm, solid core doors, vinyl wall covering, painting, custom cabinetry/millwork, wet bars, granite countertops, carpet, FF&E, etc. We were faced with many last minute design/build requirements which we implemented seamlessly. Genesis self-performed the job at 70% and completed the building to the highest standards within a five month timeframe.

Holiday Inn (Billings, Montana)

A full interior renovation to 319 guestrooms, all public spaces and the hotel's convention center.  Guestroom renovations included new carpet, vinyl wall covering, FF&E, ADA compliant bathroom sinks, etc.  Public space renovations were based on an extensive PIP list and short deadline from IHG.  Genesis performed a large portion of the work as design/build in order to deliver a quality product with minimal down time.  Renovations included new ceiling tile, parabolic light fixtures, coffer ceilings, refinishing all meeting room doors/chair rails, ceramic floor tile, new granite registration desk with ADA check in, carpet, vinyl wall covering, FF&E, etc.  The hotel's restaurant received a complete interior demolition and build back.  Interior finish out included moving walls, new suspended ceilings, recessed lighting, granite ADA compliant hostess stand and buffet, paint, vinyl wall covering, carpet, etc. 

Holiday Inn (Cheyenne, Wyoming)

A full interior renovation to 274 guestrooms, all public spaces and exterior work.  Guestroom renovations included new vinyl wall covering, carpet, FF&E, etc.  Guest bathrooms received new ceramic tile shower surrounds, vinyl wall covering, FF&E and ADA modifications.  The guestroom corridors ceilings where replaced with new suspended acoustical ceiling tile and grid, and new life safety devices.  Public space renovations included new vinyl wall covering, carpet, paint, custom millwork, FF&E, ADA modifications, etc.  All public area ceilings were replaced with new acoustical ceiling tile and lay-in parabolic light fixtures.  The hotel's registration and restaurant were design/ built by Genesis and completely reconstructed including new ceilings, custom ADA granite counter tops, new wall and floor finishes, and new electrical throughout.  The restaurant buffet and serving area was design/built by Genesis as well which included custom granite, and new wall and floor finishes.  Daily schedule modification and heavy coordination was a key in accomplishing this scope. 

Holiday Inn (Lubbock, Texas)

Exterior and interior renovations of two Holiday Inns within a five mile radius of each other.  Exterior work included large amounts of ADA modifications including welding all exterior stairwells to meet current code.  Guestroom renovations included ADA modifications, FF&E, new granite counter tops, sinks, fixtures, and plumbing.  Both hotel public space renovations included millwork, ceramic floor tile, granite counter tops, new meeting room doors, vinyl wall covering, carpet, paint, FF&E, etc.  All hotel meeting room ceilings were framed, dry walled, and finished as new coffer ceilings.  The fitness center was a complete interior build-out by Genesis along with new finishes and custom mirrors.  Both hotel restaurants were completely renovated including design/build construction by Genesis of new granite buffets, hostess stations, new electrical panels. 

Marriott (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma)

While tackling a number of complicated structural issues with the hotel, Genesis was able to find effective and less expensive solutions than other competitors had suggested.  A large amount of millwork, painting and flooring (pattered wood matching in lobby and resealing/re-taping of racquetball court) was part of the scope.  The hotel had an extremely high occupancy throughout the duration of our work.  We were quick to respond to events at the hotel by reorganizing our crews while minimizing noise and debris.  This project was self-performed at 95% by Genesis.

Marriott (Norfolk, Virginia)

This project encompassed a diverse scope of work which included carpet repair, millwork, marble repair, vinyl wall covering replacement, carpet replacement, granite refinishing and electrical work.  The exterior painting and porte-cochere work for this property was challenging because of an unusually wet season.  We were able to delegate our crews to different tasks in order to minimize down time.  Because of a consistently high occupancy rate, our crews worked at different hours of the day in order to accommodate the staff and guests.

Marriott (Palm Beach Gardens, Florida)

With this hotel being a high occupancy establishment, Genesis was given a 10 day time line in order to replace and assemble FF&E in 138 rooms.  With a myriad of delivery constraints, we were able to accomplish our goal.  In addition to assembling 138 rooms, Genesis provided a highly durable, glossy and non-stick finish to all the ground surfaces in the entrance and surrounding the pool.

Hilton (Lafayette, Louisiana)

Exterior and interior renovation to a 327 room hotel.  Interior renovations consisted of replacing all crown molding and base board in all guestroom corridors, refinishing meeting room doors, replacing meeting room carpet, modifying plumbing and installing new granite counter tops and custom wood vanity bases in the guest bathrooms, and installing new flat screen TVs in the guestrooms.  In addition, the kitchen ceiling was replaced with new acoustical ceiling tile/grid and new 2x4 electrical lay-in fixtures.  All light poles in the parking lot were painted as well.

Doubletree (Tulsa, Oklahoma)

This project consisted of a complete tear out and renovation of a fitness center; following by a 374 guest bathroom renovation.  The guest bathroom renovations included refinishing all bath tubs with a non-slip texture, installing new tile tub surrounds, and installing ADA compliant solutions for grab bars.  Scheduling adjustments were made throughout the project to account for the hotel's high occupancy rates.  Genesis self-performed this work 100% with our skilled labor force.

Hyatt (Bridgewater, New Jersey)

A full interior renovation to 128 guest rooms within six buildings that included a tub to walk in shower conversion. We removed all FF&E, carpet, counter tops, tubs, etc. and provided a full interior repaint, new granite tops in all kitchens and baths along with new hardware, installed new carpet, modified the ceilings in the kitchens, built 180 new shower pans with full floor and wall tile replacement along with new glass doors. Installed all new appliances and reinstalled all FF&E. This project was self-preformed at 90%.

FEATURED INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS:

 

Airplane Hangar & Office Building (Benin, Nigeria)

Genesis has been contracted to design, engineer, procure, ship and construct a 25,000 Sq. Ft. airplane hangar, office building, storage facility and fuel tank facility for a Nigerian government entity. The hangar includes a unique design that can erect in a quick time frame with a membrane cover that reduces heat from UV rays. The office building is two stories at around 4,600 sf including contractor provided furniture, full finish-out, central air conditioning, water tank facilities and a septic system transported from the United States. Construction to be completed by late 2012.

FEATURED MULTIFAMILY PROJECTS:

 

Quail Creek (Shreveport, Louisiana)

Genesis removed and replaced an abundance of rotten wood on the exterior of all 50 buildings around 400 units at Quail Creek and prepped for paint. We completed a full exterior re caulk and repaint including thousands of feet of metal railing. We also refinished two basketball courts and repaired hundreds of feet of damaged sidewalk. Structural repairs of the leasing office along with a full interior make over by refloating all of the walls and ceilings, new paint, adding new wooden floors along with ceramic tile in the wet areas. We built a dock for the adjoining lake along with other improvements.

Lexington (Plano, Texas)

Genesis was contracted to complete fourteen 2,800 Sq. Ft., high end, new build town homes that were unfinished by the original developer and abandoned for years. We completed a walk and built a specific scope tailored for each unit as each unit was left in a different stage of completion. Genesis worked with the city building department to satisfy issues like insulation inspections that were not called before the drywall was installed and driveway slopes that were too steep. The property required all trades to complete the project and Genesis self-preformed all of them excluding the MEP.

Chaparral (Las Colinas, Texas)

Genesis drained and plastered three of the Chaparral pools along with refinishing the surface of the forth pool. The pool coping cap was also repaired/replaced along with the tile in the pools. The club house underwent a full renovation of all finishes in all areas including a new kitchen. We installed one way mirrors, several flat screen TV’s, granite tops, computer stations, full sound system, hardwood floors, lighting package, several types of doors we installed, refinished the deck, modified the fitness room etc. We also installed R-30 insulation in the attic spaces in all buildings and rebuilt the brick columns in the parking lot.

Ladera (Fort Worth, Texas)

We removed the wood paneling, trim, insulation and drywall. We replaced the damaged bottom plates along with damaged wall studs and rebuilt with non-batted insulation, moisture resistant drywall after applying a primer to all exposed surfaces. Several plumbing issues were resolved by adding new valves and clearing out old lines. We tape bedded and textured all affected areas along with paint. Installed new base, trim, doors, lighting package, new laminate, VCT, etc.

Eastside Village (Plano, Texas)

This property is a high end contemporary multifamily/retail mixed use in the heart of old historic downtown Plano. Genesis was contracted to provide a full exterior facelift of all units and all buildings including the parking garage. We created traffic control plans and worked with the city to implement the improvements with little disruption to the residents and the flow of people in downtown. We also completed a full repaint in all corridors/public spaces.

Eagles Landin(Garland, Texas)

This property was affected by a fire. Genesis removed the destroyed/damaged contents, roof shingles, roof deck, engineered trusses, brick, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, drywall, insulation, flooring etc. We protected the property from the elements while the new trusses were being manufactured. The remaining material was treated before we rebuilt. We also built a full playground for this property along with several other improvements. 


FEATURED COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL PROJECTS:

 

Geo Map (Plano, Texas)

Genesis was contracted to renovate the reception, waiting, dinning, kitchen, administrative rooms and the offices of the Geo Map building. We provided all high end finishes including a heavy texture, faux foe paint, fifty dollar a yard carpet squares with a geometric design etc. We also repaired the skylights above these areas and worked nights and weekends so we had as little disturbance to the regular business day as possible.

Kings Gate(Plano, Texas)

Kings Gate had an issue with a large creek that was affecting 13 different properties in the addition by eroding the embankments and starting to encroach on the improvements of the properties. We were contracted to provide the engineering and to build gabion walls and gabion mattresses to protect the property improvements. Some of the walls were over one hundred feet long and fifteen feet tall. We worked with the city of Plano parks department and were able to bring in thousands of cubic yards of material without disrupting the city park or the adjoining neighbors.

Whole Foods (Dallas, Texas)

A freight elevator was damaged by rolling pallets that broke the back wall loose and clipped a fire sprinkler flooding the loading dock, mechanical room, engineering room, elevator pit, coolers etc. The 480 volt equipment room that powers the elevators was flooded as well. This issue shut the shipping and receiving down for this property so Genesis acted quickly and extracted the water, cleaned the debris, repaired the fire sprinkler and dried the building out putting the elevators back in service along with the coolers and had minimal disruption to the property.

Health South Medical Center (Dallas, Texas)

Health South contracted Genesis to remove all items from one of their hospitals including CT scanner, XRay machines, ER equipment, office furniture, sterilizers, file cabinets, several physical rehab rooms, kitchens, labs, mechanical room and hospital rooms. The property had three buildings that Genesis completed in twelve days.

Sewell (Dallas, Texas)

A car drove through the service storefront taking out offices and disrupting business. Genesis was on the project within about an hour. We cleaned the broken glass and damaged storefront, built walls in place of the storefront and had them ready for business the next day. We ordered new glass and repaired the storefront including the doors within about 7 days working at night so we did not disrupt the daily business.
